Experts are urging Small and Medium Scale Business (SMB) owners and operators to give high priority to physical fitness and health check-ups as they make critical decisions for their businesses.
This advice was shared during the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Business Series event held at the bank’s headquarters in Lagos.

Fitness and health professionals emphasized the significance of intentional efforts towards physical fitness and regular health evaluations as vital factors for achieving success in businesses.
The event, titled ‘Financial Fitness: Balancing Health and Wealth for Small Business Owners,’ featured panelists including Dr. Adeyemi Adeyinka from AVON HMO, fitness founder Kemen Ekerette, artist and fitness enthusiast Saga Adeolu, Ramanujam Rummy from the Happiness Center, and Atinuke Kolade from AVON HMO.
The discussions highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Dr. Adeyinka stressed the value of understanding one’s health condition, cultivating a conducive environment, and undergoing regular wellness checks for organs such as the lungs, liver, and kidneys.
These practices were noted as especially critical for SMB operators.
