It is either go digital or die for the banking business, thus it is unsurprising that all Nigerian banks now have smartphone apps to drive digital banking.
Many bank customers no longer need to attend a banking hall to conduct financial transactions thanks to these apps. Bank users can make transfers, pay bills of any kind, and file grievances directly from the apps. Upgraded functionality in some of these apps allow users to request ATM cards and checkbooks.
However, the consumer experience on these apps is far from ideal. While the apps suit the needs of users in some areas, they fall short in others. The banks are attempting to address some of the issues and concerns with regular updates.
Veryserial has tested these banking apps on a regular basis to ensure that they fulfill user requirements. In keeping with tradition, we’re going through them again to assess who’s improved and who hasn’t.
First and foremost, what do customers want from a bank app? Customers demand easy access to their funds, the opportunity to send money or conduct transactions from the comfort of their homes or offices, the capacity to track their spending without having to go to the bank, and the ease of doing business, especially for business owners.
